Ginny L Zerang

MY LIFE HAS BEEN SHAPED BY ALL THINGS REAL ESTATE.

I was fortunate to have a father who was an interesting entrepreneur who never saw a reason why he couldn’t do or create something. When we were young, he bought a small ski resort in Southeast Michigan. While he built up the resort, he also developed the property into a complete entertainment complex called Pine Knob #istillcallitpineknob. A music theater, country club with a golf course, a couple of restaurants and some residential units could all be found within the expanse of the property. So not only was I exposed to real estate on every level, literally from the ground up, I was also exposed to people of all walks of life. As a family, we were encouraged to share the benefits of Pine Knob. My father embraced everyone and my mother warmly opened up our home to friends and guests at all times. That charitable and compassionate spirit continues to guide my life and decisions every day. After moving to Chicago in 1987, I pursued my degree in Film/Video from Columbia College and met my husband, Paul, a native Chicagoan steeped in the music community and from a family of talented artists. Together we moved to Glenview to raise our sons and remain there today. Throughout my diverse professional history, which has included film/television, music, fashion and non-profits, the one thing that remained a constant is my deep passion for the people and the communities of which I’ve served. This has led me to want to share my love for Chicago and the local neighborhoods with all the culture, wonderful food and wide- ranging diversity they provide.
